Kevin Porter Junior has become one of the NBA's most interesting characters in the two seasons since the Milwaukee Bucks drafted him as No.30 before being traded to Cleveland. In his time with the Cavaliers, he developed a reputation for erratic behaviour and earned fines from the league itself before being moved on to the Houston Rockets. His undoubted talent has been overshadowed by a number of disciplinary problems, notably when he was arrested for the possession of weapons and marijuana. There has also been questions and concerns around his mental health, positing some cryptic messages on social media during the pandemic. His posts prompted the Cavs to contact Porter, concerned, but they then assured that "he is perfectly fine".Months later, the relationship between the franchise and player completely blew up. The 20-year-old exploded in the dressing room after seeing that his place had been move to the spaces traditionally reserved for more peripheral players.Porter directer his anger at general manager Koby Altman, whom he accused of "modern slavery" for the team's treatment of him. After that, the player was asked to gather his belongings and barred from their premises.Having landed in Houston, he looked to have put his issues behind him. But there, he was fined 50,000 dollars for breaching the NBA's health and safety protocols by attending a nightclub with a Rockets teammate. On the court, his talent is beyond doubt and he became the youngest player in the NBA to record a 50-point double-double, and the fourth in NBA history to do that before 21, joining esteemed company in LeBron James, Brandon Jennings and Devin Booker.
